Joy is the ONLY choice for 51

This race isn’t about party labels — it’s about who shows up to work and who doesn't.

Joy has released her HOME plan, knocked on hundreds of doors, held open public events and has shown how she will work for 51 and the families that call it home. Joy's opponent has taken the easy road. He has released no legislative plan for District 51. He passed no bills last year, and has declined interviews that would have given voters clear answers about his priorities. Last term in Richmond, he sided with corporate interests EVERY vote. Now with Dominion Energy, which as his largest campaign donor. He is obligated to vote for higher power bills and unregulated data centers.

Joy Powers was born here, raised here. Her opponent moved here from New York state and has spent his time working against our traditions, our schools and working families. As a farmer who's family has lived in District 51 for over two centuries, Joy will serve and protect our people and community - not corporate interest.

"I am proud to be the one candidate in this race that brings forward a clear, detailed plan to lower costs, protect our communities, and strengthen opportunity for the people who call District 51 home. I would be proud to earn your vote." - Joy Powers.

Joy Powers
The Delegate for HOME

Joy refuses corporate influence and money. Joy stands with working families, like her own.

As a public school parent, Joy champions and centers public education and teachers. She supports higher investment in students and schools.

Joy served as a licensed foster parent with Virginia Department of Social Services.

During the campaign, Joy held monthly nonpartisan events, legislative reviews and roll outs open to the public

Joy worked to keep citizen input central in solar siting in Bedford, data centers in Campbell and other industrial operations. Joy will vote to protect local voices and input as she always has.

Developed a plan to keep healthcare affordable and accessible in the HOME plan. Will submit a bill to expand rural healthcare for elderly and vulnerable seniors.

Eric Zehr
The Delegate for Corporation and Radicals

Bankrolled by big energy — his largest donor is Dominion Energy. His focus is rasing Dominion profits, not lowering your bills.

Scored an F, 18% actually, by the Virginia Education Association — Zehr failed our students and teachers. Votes to fund NOVA schools, over our own.

Zehr voted to allow men who commit rape or incest to retain parental rights of the child produced by the crime.

Has never held a public legislative review or event, campaigning or serving as delegate. Only has paid events for his political party and donors.

Zehr voted in favor of unchecked and unregulated data center expansion and corporate land deals that hide details from communities and voters.

Voted to allow hospitals and collection agencies to take the homes of the sick and elderly who can’t pay their medical bills.
